A response to the Sonder-web

Claire’s sonder-web suggests that the existence of self is reliant on the Sonder-web, and that life is existence alongside other beings in the web. My idea for an e-concept in some ways builds upon this understanding. Uberpatheia is an overload of feelings that comes about due to an altogether human overload of the senses. It is the concept that the realisation of sonder and the connectedness of all things has the capability of overloading the feelings that one has due to its magnitude and renders them unable to care for those around them that are not in their immediate spheres, even though they know that they are ultimately the same. It breeds a manner of thinking that puts the self first, making it the only thing of importance, even though, as Claire’s Sonder-web identifies, the Self is dependent on other beings.
