Marcel Duchamp's Boîte-en-valise: The Museum of Metamorphosis

Upright Boîte, loose folders fanning out around it

Like the previous arrangement, this pose gives a prominent place to the Boîte's sometimes-neglected loose folders, but rather than laying them out distinctly in orderly rows, it layers them on top of one another. Fanning out exuberantly on both sides of the Boîte's bottom tray and into the foreground, most of them enticingly covered by others, the loose folders appear as they might to one shuffling through them, imbuing the still image with suggestions of tactility and play.
