Food - Forage - Ferment
There are a lot of interesting possibilities for foods that
- tea with Libby London & Lars (they just developed a new art shanty that serves teas like nettle, goldenrod, and other seasonal weeds...)
- food forest foragers (Ryan Seibold's project to design a food forest at Lake Hiawatha is attracting foraging fermenters!)
- Francis (medicine garden), Diane (elders / equity gardening), Historical Society cookbooks (populist engagement), ___
- Sarah Nassif might be interested in working on a Frogtown Farm field guide that connects to edibles that can be harvested in the parks (St. Paul may also be in a process like Mpls revising the Vegetative Molestation rules -- St. Paul currently says in ch.4, section 13, d that you can't remove anything without written permission*). The state statute excepts "edible fruit, mushrooms, legally taken wild animals, and vegetation unavoidably damaged or destroyed by the ordinary recreational uses of these areas as specifically permitted by parts 6100.0100 to 6100.2400" from its prohibition of harvest.
