Lucia Voorhees Grimes: A Michigan Suffragette and Activist
We know that teachers are busy and have a lot of material to cover in their classrooms. Our archive aims to help teachers reach Common Core standards by providing teachers with primary sources related to Lucia Voorhees Grimes' role in the Women's Suffrage Movement. Using Grimes as a case study in their classrooms, teachers can educate their students about Michigan history and women's suffrage through the examination of primary sources. Photographs, letters, charts, newspaper articles (and more!) have been provided to ensure that students understand that all types of primary sources are valuable in better understanding the past.
