Production Oddities

The parchment is fairly poor and the rubrics are not filled in, yet the handwriting is formal quadrata and the initials are done in color and gold by a named, professional artist.  Was this a practical text (in which case, why the formality and expense?), or was it a showpiece (in which case, why use second-rate parchment and leave it unfinished?)?

Proposed collation formula (adapted with the help of Will Noel from the formula generated by VisColl):

1 (12), 2 (2+1), 3 (10), 4 (12), 5 (12), 6 (12), 7 (12), 8 (12, -12), 9 (12, -7, -8), 10 (12), 11 (12), 12 (12), 13 (12), 14 (10, -8, -9, -10)
Note: there is text missing between Quires 8 and 9 (presumably the final leaf at the end of Quire 8).  There is no identifiable text loss at the end of Quire 14.

[Compare with collation formula on OPenn: 1¹⁴(-1) 2² 3¹⁰ 4-7¹² 8¹²(-1) 9¹²(-2) 10-13¹² 14¹⁰(-3)]
