Republic of Olienhout
As part of the rhinoceros citadel I undertake, amongst all residences at the University of Pretoria, to remain true firstly and lastly to Olienhout, whether living in or outside, or after having left.
I undertake to build up the name of Olienhout; to help where I can; to support where I cannot help; to have respect when I don’t agree; to fight evil with good and to replace the good with the better.
I undertake to know and be known within the Republic of Olienhout- not for cheap popularity, but rather for friendship and true companionship.
Seeing that nothing is bad in itself, but is twisted by the lie, I declare struggle against the father of the lie, and against myself, when I propagate the lie.
So that my residence shall be my home and pride, it is for me to build-up my fellow man, instead of engineering his downfall.
I shall subject myself to the authorities appointed over me so that God may rule in the Residence, in my fellow man and within myself.
