Famously, Kitbashing was used on movie sets like Alien, Star Wars: A New Hope, and 2001: A Space Odyssey. In Kitbashing the Classroom, I have taken this concept and applied it to Educational Gamification. Borrowing from Tabletop Role Playing games like Dungeons & Dragons and Monster of the Week as well as hybrid Tabletop Games like Gloomhaven, I interpose the game mechanics of these popular titles into Narrative-based classroom and homework activities, meant to promote collaboration, critical thinking, and accessibility for multimodal educational needs.
