The hotel was located in the central business district of Frankfurt. Suddenly the car stopped and we were trapped. Standing a couple cars in front of me a large group of people were holding signs in the air, but because they were faced in a different direction I could not read any of the signs. I got off the cab and walked towards the crowd. On a bench sat two girls and a guy that looked like a hooligan, except he was rather squat and at most 18 years old. The girls had flowers in their hair and drank something that seemed to be mate tea. When I asked them what was happening, they told me that there is rally on climate change und financial crisis and that soon the main speaker, Leonardo DiCaprio, is going to hold his speech.

One of the hippie girls then started a monolog to show that she is engaging a lot in environment activism.

GIRL: The most important misconception seems to be the assumption, and of course you would think of it, that the temperatures is climbing. I am talking about global warming. Press reports often say that it will be around at least two degrees. Aaah, yeah, this makes sense because it is called global warming at that is what will happen. I could not find my presentation so I wanted to show them a meme I recently found online, but all three neither laughed nor paid any attention to me after that. The two girls now tried to convince the hooligan to accept their point of view, but he got annoyed soon after their attempt and left. And as long as they didn’t bother talking to me I decided to leave immediately for my hotel.
