Workshop 2: Outline Workshop
In this workshop, each group will walk through their outlines by answering the following questions:
- Read the opening paragraph.
- Is there a clear definition(s) of the term? How might it be further clarified?
- Is there a roadmap to guide the reader through the rest of the essay?
- Assess the logic of the argument.
- Does each paragraph support the goal of the essay?
- Are there concepts/ideas that should be added as a main paragraph or sub-points to augment the essay?
- Are there concepts/ideas that should be removed?
- Does the order to the essay work?
- Should it be reordered?
- Does each section/paragraph speak to Rhetoric and/or Communication Studies?
- Does the outline include all the components of a keywords essay?
- Citations:
- Are there scholarly sources?
- Do the citations include key texts from RHCS?
- What other sources should be included?
