Kentucky College for Women's History: Revealing the story of women at Centre College

Then and Now

The women of KCW have come a long way since the college's establishment in the 19th century. The Kentucky College for Women progressed and saw substantial change through its existence. Its merge with Centre College profoundly impacted Centre life. This change and progression is evident in visual evidence such as photographs available from the two schools throughout decades of their history. Greek Life

Kappa Kappa Gamma founding class (1980) to current chapter (2016)
Sororities were founded at Centre in 1980, with 33 members to each 3 sororities. Now, Kappa Kappa Gamma has 89 members, Delta Delta Delta has 88 members, and Kappa Alpha Theta has 92 members. In addition, Alpha Delta Pi has 90 members and Kappa Delta has 42 members. This 401 total sorority women is a large progression from the 99 original women.
