Philosophy of Education

Education is a complex and tricky subject, and no two educators approach it the same. Having a philosophy for how you approach education, even early on, can help a future teacher to make important decisions on how they go about constructing their classes, interacting with their students and others in their environment, teaching their lessons, and evaluating their own progress as a professional. Moreover, it's important for educators to keep an open mind and realize that strategies for teaching continually evolve. Teachers should do what they can to evaluate what of their personal philosophy still works, and what might need an update.

Below are a few points I've begun to consider in how I would like to approach education. As my own education continues, I expect some of these ideas to change, and maybe some disappear entirely. But I'll continue to look for new ideas on how education should be handled, and adjust accordingly.
