Yiddle With His Fiddle, premiered in Warsaw, Poland in September, 1936, and opened in New York on December 31, 1936. Directed by Joseph Green and Nan Nowina-Przbylski, written by Joseph Green, and starring Molly Picon, Simche Fostel, Leon Liebgold, and Max Bozyk, it is the story of a young woman posing as a man in a group of klezmer musicians in poland. Music for the film was composed by Abe Ellstein.
