For over 25 years, he wrote and lectured on a variety of topics. One topic that was very close to his heart was the state of Judaism. His writings on Judaism took on many forms and explored many different aspects: philosophy, traditions, Jewish families, antisemitism, and modern day Jewish college students. He was also a member of Temple Shalom. His collection of papers can be found in the University Archives under Benjamin Kaplan Papers (Coll. 78).
