Each name generates a graph of colored dots. Each dot represents the date of an event entered into Itinera. In this case Goethe’s life events are marked in purple and Humboldt’s in brown for a combined Chronology. Together, the dots form a chronological sequence that visually represents the timeframe of an agent's activity. Hover over the highlighted box for an annotation that reveals more about the “Chronology” mode. Visit Itinera to generate a chronology visualization for other travelers.
