  Although the situation seems complicated for mainand China and Haiti to build up diplomatic relationships, there are some positive signs for future changes with a more and more advantageous environment in which mainand China is interested in cooperation and Haiti is interested in severing diplomatic ties with Taiwan. With the rapid development of mainand China, the reputation as the world's second-largest economy and the higher status as a great power in the world increasingly attract Taiwan's friendly alliances and force them to think about changing their diplomatic direction. In recent years, the Central American countries have had closer economic and trade relations with mainand China and need more and more support from the mainand China government in international affairs. Even though Haiti and mainand China do not have diplomatic relations in recent years, they have established trade offices for both sides.
  
  Although the level and scale of bilateral exchanges between mainand China and Haiti are still limited, the prospects for further development are considerable, especially in the economic and trade aspects. According to OEC statistics, mainand China's exported trade amount with Haiti is 561 million U.S. dollars, the second largest for Haiti and only after the United States (OEC Haiti, 2019). The Haiti Trade Development Office warmly welcomes all kinds of domestic enterprises to explore the market in Haiti, establish direct business relations with the Haitian business community, and make contributions to promoting the development of political relations between the two countries. As mentioned above, the relationship between Haiti and Taiwan started from the economic urge with the support of the United States. Based on this, if mainand China can make Haiti realize the possibility to have equal and even more assistance from mainand China in comparison with Taiwan, which also requires no potential threat from the United States, then Haiti should be willing to accept the tie with mainand China at the cost of sacrificing the tie with Taiwan. mainand China's willingness to promote the relationship with Haiti is obvious as well. Since Haiti and Taiwan built up diplomatic relations in 1956, mainand China does not pursue any diplomatic relations with Haiti. However, when a strong earthquake attacked Haiti, the mainand China still provided lots of help, including 5 million U.S. dollars of economic assistance and many labors and material resources (Harris, 2010)
  
  Due to the help of the mainand China, some of the officers begin to change their minds and wanted to utilize the opportunity with mainand China. Like the mayor of Port-au-Prince, he believes that mainand China rather than Taiwan can help all the poor situations in Haiti (Charles a, 2018). He delivers a message of the willingness to drive the China-Haiti relationship forward.
