In Haiti, which is still conservative, boys are more likely to go to school than girls, because, in their perceptions, men still dominate. According to a 2016 survey by UNESCO, the literacy rate among the population aged 15 years and older. Only 65.3% of men and 58.3% of women. (As shown in Figure 1) Due to the low percentage of educated people in Haiti as a whole, as well as gang and political violence and war. As a result, a large number of women were raped, and acts of sexual violence continue to occur; Gender-based violence is a pervasive problem. Haiti has no specific legislation on domestic violence, sexual harassment, or other forms of violence against women and girls. Rape was only expressly criminalized by ministerial decree in 2005. Similarly, due to lack of knowledge and feudal ideology, as shown in the documentary Of Gods and Men (2002), in Haiti, people are very resistant to homosexuality. They think homosexuality is scary. They believe homosexuality is the main reason for the spread of AIDS in Haiti. So whether it's for religious reasons or out of fear of AIDS, everyone’s attitude towards homosexuality is very mean.
