Remixing the Frankenstein Myth: course projects linked to the Frankenstein myth

The Frankenstein Myth

In celebration of the 200th anniversary of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein; or, A Modern Prometheus students in Virginia Kuhn’s IML340: Remixing the Archive class created digital arguments (aka research based video essays) using archival footage, sound, words and still images, in order to explore some aspect raised by the immortal gothic horror myth.  The work featured here was created in conjunction with the Visions and Voices event taking place on April 4, 2019 at USC’s Doheny Library.  IML340: Remixing the Archive is a foundational course in the Division of Media Arts + Practice. The class TA was Triton Mobley. The video work represented here was curated and assembled by Philana Payton.
