Mourning the death of his mother at the hands of Jon Snow, Drogon melts the iron throne with his breath. Here Drogon is destroying the ultimate symbol of power in the entire show, the reason for much of the killing, raping, and torture that has happened over the course of 8 seasons. Drogon melting the throne is supposed to represent an end to all of that and perhaps some regret on the dragons part. This particular scene is the source of much speculation amongst fans with some saying that Drogon saw how power corrupted his mother and some others saying that Drogon saw the throne as the reason for his mothers death.
