"Chaque époque rêve de la suivante" - Benjamin

 Berlin: Symphony of a Great City, a movie by Walter Ruttman that recalls what Vienna might have looked like at that time. The audience can experience the last remnants of the bourgeois interior and witness the transition that was underway into modernity underway in the film. 

This movie is perfect as it depicts  the aftermath of the Belle Époque and responds to the experience of the war,  the uncanny and the claustrophobia.
