Shifting Machine flew me to Seattle. Here in Seattle, I feel much better.
Seattle is not that busy even though it is a quite big city too. Not "too many" people even in downtown. I can walk on my own pace. Almost always I can have a seat in trains or buses.
I can enjoy beautiful views of the sea, lake, trees and Mt. Rainier. I love watching squirrels too.
People are so nice and friendly. They don't change their attitude or way of talking when they know my age (although everyone gets surprised).
People don't really care what other people are doing. I felt always being watched by someone in Japan but not in here.
Moreover, I often take an advantage by being Japanese in Seattle. For example, I could make many friends just because they were also Japanese, they spoke Japanese, or they liked Japan.
It can be different when it comes to another person. Some of my friends told me they like Japan better.
But in my case, I feel much more comfortable in Seattle. I love Seattle.
