Gospel Thrillers: Conspiracy, Fiction, and the Vulnerable Bible

Inside the Gospel Thrillers

The novels I call "gospel thrillers" span several decades and come from diverse publication contexts. Some are best-sellers, others are obscure and forgotten; some are part of series franchises, others are stand-alone novels; some are hard-boiled noir thrillers, others border on the supernatural. I have collected about thirty of them (as of 2020), and in this section of the site I provide detail on what I think constitutes this genre (including what I've excluded from my study) and capsule descriptions of the contents of the novels, focusing on their authors, their main characters, and the "lost gospel" at the heart of their narratives.
