WE HAVE COMPLETED our groundwork. We are ready to examine in depth this challenge of learning about God. The beginning of this challenge is the beginning of our faith. Everything we believe deals either with God or with what comes from God. Before we can learn about what comes from God, namely creatures, we need to study God Himself, who is the Creator. We will consider two aspects: the first is whether or not God exists at all and the second is what He is like.
