You are Catherine, a 52 year old white homosexual female. Catherine grew up in the suburbs and had two white straight parents with well paying jobs. Catherine and her parents had a great relationship most of her life. She always got anything she wanted and had strong grades in school. Her parents even sent her to a private school where she ended up meeting her lover. Catherine worked as a marketing manager before the water wars. Although she was always accepted by her peers she knew that as a woman she never was treated as well as men in a lot of aspects in life. She was very active in spreading the word of feminism via blogs and other forms of media. She was also very active in the lgbt community. Despite this, she always blamed minority communities for their problems. She thought that they didn't work hard and that's why they were so poor. She also thought that they only had problems with the criminal justice system because they were criminals. 

You are your girlfriend were both fortunate enough to make it through the apocalypse and end up at the same place. You requested to get put in the same room and it was granted, since you were partners. You two wake up from your dorm and walk down into the community garden, where they grow all the food they serve in this housing unit. You usually don't eat in the morning and you two are enjoying your very last cigarette that you found in a run down shop before you reached the city. As you exhale smoke, you hear the speakers go off. Your name has been called to get the EC chip installed today. You know if you don't get it installed you will be banished from the city, and you barely made it out there before.
