Michelle on Movement

"Every movement practice is about touch and community and healing"

Through movement and through touch, Michelle feels like she can impact and change the lives of those in her everyday life, those who are in her communit(ies). She discusses this as a micro-level approach to change where acts of intimacy and touch effect people in important ways. These smaller changes lead to larger movements.

She feels that focusing her energy in this way is the most meaningful thing she can do to make the world better.   For Michelle, if the goal of her work, and of work and performance and touch generally, is not to effect social change, why bother?
