Cambio-All My Life

Cambio's work has been influential on my understanding of decolonial aesthetics and cultural production as a practice in resistance. I became familiar with his work over four years ago, his song "People" featuring Bocafloja and Hache ST. introduced me to the work of other members of the Quilomboarte collective. Cambio's most recent work "Places Unfinished at Creation EP" is a sonic archive, a life history of Cambio and his process emancipatory practice.

The biographical information below comes from his website Cambio was here

"Cambio is a lyricist born and raised in California's Central Valley. Since then, he has lived in many parts of California; from San Diego to the Bay Area embodying west coast culture while staying connected to a global perspective.
With a hiphop vision and sound influenced by soul samples, Cambio is an artist who can deliver a meaningful message to all audiences interested in good hip hop. from 2003-2008 Cambio served as an frontman and M.C. for central coast live Hip Hop/funk band "Para La Gente" that was featured in a documentary aired on PBS about their work with youth and organizing through music."
