In a desire to allow person's to speak for themselves about creative process, I attempt not to theorize about how or what a cultural producer is trying to portray, instead this track like all the others included in this project have been significant in my personal process of decolonization and emancipatory study. Both Boca's literary and sonic contributions to decolonial scholarship have challenged my processes of understanding and expression. His work challenges the politics of social respectability and political correctness which often become the policing mechanisms by which resistance spaces are co-opted into spaces that recreate the violence of coloniality.
""Patologias del Invisible Incomodo" is a concept album, where the interconnection & interdependence of each track signifies and globalizes a musical and discursive experience. It is not about a collection of singles. We share with you here the second of sixteen videos: "Memoria" by Bocafloja. "Memoria" narrates a journey of more than fifteen years in which Bocafloja has utilized spoken word and rap music as an alternative platform to communicate and build with communities all over the world.
Exile and diasporic experiences as part of the colonial structures come together in this track, referring to one of Bocafloja's favorite novels; "La Guaracha del Macho Camacho" by Luis Rafael Sanchez. The video was shot in Harlem and Bronx New York by Magee and produced by Nomadic Wax. The project effectively portrays Bocafloja's journey as an artist and activist, whose final destination is the establishment of an emancipatory experience.

"Memoria" por Bocafloja ."Memoria" es el recuento de un viaje de mas de 15 años en los que Bocafloja ha utilizado la palabra como plataforma de comunicacion con diferentes comunidades alrededor del mundo. La experiencia del exilio y la diaspora dentro del marco de las estructuras coloniales, se entrecruzan en este track haciendo referencia a una de las novelas preferidas de Bocafloja; "La Guaracha del Macho Camacho" escrita por Luis Rafael Sanchez.El video filmado en las comunidades de Harlem y Bronx en Nueva York por Magee y producido por Nomadic Wax, retrata de manera efectiva este viaje que tiene como destino final el establecimiento de un ejercicio emancipador.
