Anthropocene Playlist
HomescreenBut this playlist depends entirely on digital access. There is no physical version of it. The music only exists as long as I have access to my phone, the internet, and the systems that support streaming.
That made me start thinking about how listening itself is tied to infrastructure. Streaming music relies on data centers, energy use, and constant connectivity, even though it feels immediate and unlimited. If those systems are disrupted or restricted, access to something as simple as a playlist is no longer guaranteed.
In that sense, the playlist becomes another example of how the phone presents things as easy and available, while depending on systems that have environmental limits. It is not separate from the problem, but part of it.
