Intersectionality in Early Feminist Texts: Herland, Sultana's Dream, and Iola Leroy

"Sultana's Dream"- Men and Babies

Because of the role reversal occurring in Ladyland, men are now resposible for child rearing. As a result, motherhood as a role is very rarely mentioned, in contrast to both Iola Leroy and Herland. This is the first mention of children at all. Sister Sara noticably does not give the sultana a tour of a nursery and we only see one child very breifly.
