Thanks for your patience during our recent outage at scalar.usc.edu. While Scalar content is loading normally now, saving is still slow, and Scalar's 'additional metadata' features have been disabled, which may interfere with features like timelines and maps that depend on metadata. This also means that saving a page or media item will remove its additional metadata. If this occurs, you can use the 'All versions' link at the bottom of the page to restore the earlier version. We are continuing to troubleshoot, and will provide further updates as needed. Note that this only affects Scalar projects at scalar.usc.edu, and not those hosted elsewhere.

For over 80 years, this iconic board game has brought people together, challenging players to think critically, expand their vocabularies, and have fun in the process. Whether you’re a word wizard or a casual player, Scrabble offers something for everyone.
The beauty of Scrabble lies in its simplicity. With just a set of letter tiles and a board, you can create endless possibilities. Every turn is a new opportunity to craft clever words, maximize points, and outsmart your opponents. But it’s not just about knowing big words; it’s about strategy. Placing a word on a double-letter score or hitting a triple-word bonus can turn the tide of the game, making every move a thrilling decision.
Scrabble is also a fantastic way to connect with others. Whether you’re playing with family, friends, or strangers, the game sparks laughter, friendly competition, and memorable moments. It’s a perfect blend of education and entertainment, making it a favorite for game nights, classrooms, and even online platforms.
So, grab your tiles, shuffle the letters, and let the wordplay begin! Scrabble isn’t just a game—it’s a journey into the power of words. Ready to spell your way to victory? Let’s play!
