Many of Temple Grandin's most impressive accomplishments relate to her work in the animal science industry and the design of slaughterhouses. Sacks noted that her incredibly detailed visual though process allowed her to consider how each component of her project would function before even beginning to draft it (267). The above video demonstrates the special attention with which she considers each part of the system and in addition to demonstrating the power of her thought process, provides a glimpse into the close empathetic relationship with animals that led her to this field of study. See more of her studies on animal behavior here.
