Thesis
“This is going to be so easy,” I thought to myself when after five years of requesting it, I was informed that I would be teaching Online English 12 in the Desire2Learn format. Little did I know, the experience would be one of the most challenging experiences of my teaching career.

I. The Beginning
a. Broken links
b. Parent Contact
c. Missing Assignments
d. Texts during the middle of the night
e. News Releases
II. Half Way Through
a. Frustrated students
b. Course modifications
c. Hours spent on commenting
d. News Releases
e. Digital Conferences
III. The End
a. Phone log
b. Make-up work
c. A surprising final
Conclusion:
Overall, teaching online was an enlightening experience. Though it was far more difficult than face-to-face teaching, it had its rewards.
