The simplistic view here allows the reader to imagine the simplicity of nature, and simply to appreciate it, not to question why the grass wishes to be rooted or why the rain wishes to dissolve. The speaker wishes for the ability of the reader to escape and get lost in nature, which is easily done with imagery like this.
