Wii fit sheds light on new therapeutic techniques that capitalize on the quantitative aspect of therapy. The Wii Fit is a more amusing alternative, that presents an opportunity to increase the motivation of patients. Current literature already supports the use of exergames for DCD children. With hand-picked balance-focused games, DCD children can further improve static balance. The innovative balance board analyses postural sway with pressure sensors, offering the ability to practice the three major systems contributing sensory integration. Future exergames should focus on games that isolate specific major systems allowing for increased reliance on diverse sensory integration.
