Welcome
Welcome to Disneyland, the Reader. This is the project designed and created The Textual Object, a required course for the Master of Arts in the Cinema Studies Institute at the University of Toronto.
This site follows the logic of the original Disneyland. Readers begin on Main Street, U.S.A. and, if they choose to follow the circuit laid out for them, pass through Adventureland, Frontierland, Fantasyland, and finally into Tomorrowland. Or, of course, like any Disney visitor readers can choose any path they like through this para-park.
Each student has produced a paratext for one of the lands. Enjoy!
