Visual Learning

One of the most important concepts that you have to keep in mind when creating a digital composition is visual learning. Visual learning is defined as how an image or platform is read and perceived. What this basically means is that visual learning is the way a composition is understood by the reader. The way in which a composition is designed has a huge impact on how the project is perceived by its audience.
Take this portfolio for instance. When you first clicked the link to the index page, you were met by a bunch or purple polka dots. This is a great example of visual learning in that when you saw this particular design choice, you probably thought that this portfolio was mot going to be a totally formal piece of writing. Your reaction to this project may be featured it the first media file you your left.
Visual learning is all about how you perceive compositions such as this project as you read it and as you use it. Examples of this vital concept can be found all throughout this project. Visual learning is so incredibly important when you use memes. What you take away from a meme is based on its design. If the wrong image is chosen for the meme, it can skew what the reader takes away from it and how it is perceived overall.
Visual learning can also be applied to the prezis that you can also read up on in this portfolio. The way someone perceives a prezi is based completely on the design choices of the creator. For example, in my "Know Your App" prezi, I designed the slides to make the image of an ipad. Right away, without me even having to speak, the viewer of the prezi gets the idea that this presentation will be all about apps. That is how the presentation is percieved. That is visual learning.
