When installing GitBash to your Windows Computer, be sure you have the right criteria selected, as shown in the following steps:
Check the boxes "Additional Icons" and "On the Desktop" at the top if they are unchecked. All the other boxes checked, as shown above, should also be checked (by default). Then click "Next"
Since we are using the text editor called Sublime Text for our sessions, click the arrow to the right of the box and choose "Use Sublime Text as Git's default editor".
Make sure "Git from the command line and also from 3rd party software is bulleted. Then click "Next"
Make sure "Use the OpenSSL Library" is bulleted. Then click "Next"
Make sure "Check out Windows style, commit Unix-style line endings" is bulleted. Then click "Next"
Make sure "Use MinTTY (the default terminal of MSYS2)" is bulleted. Click "Next"
Make sure the top two boxes are checked: "Enable File System Caching" and "Enable Git Credential". Click "Install"
