The Recipes

These recipes span three generations: my grandmother, my mother, and my sister and I. Most are my grandmother's recipes, written on standard index cards in blue ink or pencil. My mother's recipes, the rarest of the group, are also in this format, though her handwriting is decidedly more steady. My recipes come in both the index card format as well as those born digital. Stacey's are presented on a variety of media. A small group of outliers are from complete strangers in an entirely unknown hand.

Materially, some of these recipes show wonderful signs of being used, including food stains and smudges. Some have advertisements.
