The Stanley Chronicles Project

About The Stanley Parable

The initial conception of The Stanley Parable was created by Davey Wreden.[1] The original release of the game on July 27, 2011 was a free modification, created with Valve’s free Source engine, for the game Half-Life 2.[2] Wreden and  William Pugh, under the developer Galactic CafĂ©, redesigned “The Stanley Parable” for the re-release on October 17, 2013.[3] Both iterations of the game were narrated by Kevan Brighting. The Stanley Parable is characterised as a “first-person exploration game” and the type of ending is entirely dependent on the choices of the player.[4]
