Teaching Data Fluencies

What are Data Fluencies?

The Teaching Data Fluencies initiative is building a community of teaching and practice that helps teachers and students engage in deep and creative conversations about their relationship with data through what we call Data Fluencies.

Data Fluencies are new ways of engaging with data that move us beyond data 'literacies' to fluid ways of expressing complex and nuanced stories about our data-filled world.

This initiative is part of the Data Fluencies research project led by the Digital Democracies Institute at Simon Fraser University.
