A “decorative” element as a central work in the show, this custom-made baseboard is now framed by the wall as it likewise frames the front gallery desk, the latter ensuring that all the elements of the gallery are pulled into the frame of the exhibition. Its strategic repetition in the exhibition is also intended to "spatially" evoke rhythm in the same manner as Stein evokes it with the repetition of words on a page.
