The Theatre and Dance Department is one of the top-rated theatre programs in the country. The program is made up of many dedicated faculty, staff, and students that work together in order to create a collaborative experience for all involved. There are many student-run productions on both the main stage and at other venues, as well as incredible opportunities to perform in faculty productions. Muhlenberg also offers Summer Music Theatre (SMT) which contains 3 full-blown professional productions, including a children's show. All positions in any of these productions are paid and housing is provided for anyone involved. There are also many opportunities to get involved on the production side of theatre and dance. There are 2 flourishing student-run clubs on campus: Muhlenberg Theatre Association and Muhlenberg Dance Association, which work with the department to put on the highest quality productions possible.
