Muhlenberg College Men's Tennis
For the past couple of years, the Muhlenberg men's tennis team has taken part in numerous community service events. Their work has been primarily in educating the local Allentown youth on how to play tennis. The team is excited to host one community engagement event in particular, "USTA Campus Kids' Day," every year because it helps bridge the gap between the Allentown and Muhlenberg communities. We can see in the picture below different players on the team instructing children on how to play tennis.
More pictures from the event can be viewed here.
When Muhlenberg men's tennis coach, Jeff Schmitt, was asked about
how Campus Kids Day came to Muhlenberg College, he responded : "The USTA and the ITA are partners in the promotion of the Campus Kids Day (as well as the Campus Showdown). Through e-mails, ads in their publications, and announcements at events like the Middle States and Eastern Senior Showcases, they publicize the opportunity to run these events and bring more people to campus. I just contacted the coordinator from the USTA for these events and signed up."

Men from the Muhlenberg tennis team have also helped out in other events interacting with the community. They participated in a babysitting program for local Allentown families. This event also partnered with Menchie's Frozen Yogurt to provide the kids and players with some refreshments!
