Conclusion

Since the beginning of the pandemic, countless injustices have been brought to our attention, from police brutality to anti-Asian violence. For this section of the Chinatown scalar project, we decided to focus on events that have occurred recently to emphasize the relevance of this primarily historical document today. We hope this section of the Chinatown project provides more insight into the systemic racism that still prevails in American society today. We also hope our shared personal experiences as Asian American and Asian international students sheds some light on how these racist events are impacting us and our community. Through this project, we hope to raise more awareness about the racial injustices occurring against Asian Americans, and we encourage our audience to continue the dialogue.
