This copy of O'Neill's Music of Ireland: 400 Choice Selections was owned by J. F. Harrell and signed by him on December 10, 1915. It came into the collection of Herbert Halpert on or around July 20, 1945 judging by this page. This copy, and a first edition of O'Neill's Dance Music of Ireland also owned by Halpert, are in the UCLA collections. Capturing O'Neill has documented a third O'Neill owned by Halpert - a copy of Irish Minstrels and Musicians that is held in the Herbert Halpert Collection (Halpert 891), in the Queen Elizabeth II Library Special Collections of the Memorial University of Newfoundland in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada. A biography of Halpert can be found on the Memorial University Library website.
