The Boston Bombings

On April 15, 2013, two pressure cooker explosive devices went off at the finish line of the 117th running of the Boston Marathon. Two brothers, Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, posed as spectators to the event and left backpacks in separate locations which contained the improvised explosives. While an estimated 264 people were injured, consisting of abrasions, shrapnel injuries, and loss of limbs, three lost their lives.
