For the final assignment in this portfolio, we were asked to provide and in depth walkthrough of our decision making process for one of the previous assignments. In my case, I chose to do an analysis on my Road video. Unlike my audio essay revision video, I chose to do this video entirely live, recording both video and audio simultaneously. This let me get into the details of my process in greater detail. The trade off unfortunately is that this video is a bit longer, since I was not simply reading a script into a microphone. However, it did allow me to thoroughly cover every aspect of the video and all of the different decisions I made inside it. In particular, I was able to discuss all of the different technical decisions and techniques I used, alongside all of the clip choices I made and the content I chose to include. This is a rather compact and efficient video, so this walkthrough gave me a chance to unpack it a little bit and really delve into it.
This concludes my portfolio! I hope you've enjoyed all of the pieces in it -- I know I enjoyed making them. Many of the lessons I've picked up about synthesis in this class will go on to help me in the future, whether that means I'm simply more aware of my content choices in papers or more technically able to create complicated multimedia pieces.
