William Pajaud

Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, Pajaud moved to Los Angeles for his adult life in the height of the art scene for African Americans. Is work was vastly comprised of watercolor works pertaining to his cultural background form New Orleans. His images included, "full-figured, powerful African American women, jazz funerals, street scenes, and other imagery from his childhood," (Hammer Museum).
