John Outterbridge

John Outterbridge is an artist and community activist. Relocating to Los Angeles in the 1960s, Outterbridge has been in the area ever since. He was the first director of the Watts Towers Art Center, holding his position there for 17 years. He also was part of the Compton Communicative Arts Academy in addition to creating many important works (one included "Traditional Hang-Up").
