Aum Shinrikyo means the “Supreme Truth” and its spiritual leader and founder is Shoko Asahara (born as Chizuo Matsumoto).1   Aum Shinrikyo officially disbanded in 2000 and many of its former members now are part of the new group Aleph.2  Aleph is the first letter in the Hebrew alphabet.
