Bestiary: Artificial Intelligence: The Taxonomy of Androids

Habitat

“When we cease to exist
When we pardon our blessed
When we lie asleep
No pain or gods.”
- Mire Kay, "Industry".

Artificial Intelligence inhabit in what is known as “box cities”. They need little space, and store themselves in locker-style rectangular abodes known as charging quarters. In these charging houses, AI can idle or sleep and replenish energy for battery and upload/download to the DEE (Droid Electronic Elsewhere). In idle mode, AI can passively review the day, store essential files, and prepare for future challenges (like an electric dream). Scientists are now studying psydrology (the study of selfhood and the quantum brain) and whether AI experience phenomena such as nightmares (or more commonly known as electric storms or REC (rapid electrical currents)) in the blue matter. These elsewheres allow for memory storage and wireless back-ups for daily events. AI overseers patrol the DEE due to global governmental privacy laws. Since AI lack identification, they act as mobile public space and any interaction they make with sensitive materials or information must be protected for companies and governments. For this reason, AI cannot act beyond the public firewall. By violating privacy laws, most AI are removed and rendered functionless. Programmers will be forced to wipe these systems clean and decommission androids from the public service sectors and later destroy databanks. In addition, sustainable and reusable resources for electricity including solar cell energy conversion has had the best benefits for AI as well as self-creating energy consumption from robotic movement (like walking).
